My background
I’m Ana Mulero, MBA-HCM a Puerto Rico–born multimedia journalist and digital content strategist with more than 10 years of experience reporting on healthcare, biotech, and regulatory policy. I specialize in translating complex medical and scientific topics into compelling, accessible stories that inform, engage, and spark conversation. My work has been featured in industry-leading publications like BioSpace, Regulatory Focus, and Industry Dive, where I’ve broken exclusive stories, covered FDA developments, and interviewed some of the most influential voices in life sciences. Alongside my journalism, I’ve also built a career in content strategy — helping mission-driven organizations shape their narratives and reach the right audiences with purpose.
My writing roots
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember — scribbling in notebooks, crafting stories, and trying to make sense of the world through words. But it wasn’t until college that I realized journalism could be a path not just for expression, but for impact.
What drew me in wasn’t just the reporting — it was the responsibility. The opportunity to give voice to stories that might otherwise go unheard, to break down complex issues and make them understandable, and to hold power to account. I was hooked.
My earliest reporting experience came during undergrad, where I researched and wrote on topics ranging from public health to social justice. That foundation led me to Washington, D.C., where I dove headfirst into fast-paced newsrooms and beat reporting in some of the most heavily regulated industries in the world.
Writing, for me, has always been more than a job. It’s a way of witnessing, questioning, and connecting. It's how I carve clarity out of complexity — and how I aim to serve readers, no matter the subject. I thrive in spaces where editorial judgment, subject-matter depth, and clear voice intersect.
